Division Championships and Perpetual Trophies
 
 
 

Connemara Division Championships

 

All Divisions will be divided into Open and Child/AA if entries warrant. 

 

Dressage Division:  Champion and Reserve Champion to the Connemara or Halfbred Connemara with the highest combined percentage scores in two dressage tests, Training level or higher.  (Qualifying classes:  1-18)

 

Prospect Division:  to both the Connemara and Halfbred Connemara with the most points in their division and 2 Introductory level dressage tests.  (Qualifying classes:  A, B, 40-43, 78)

 

Green Division:  to both the purebred and halfbred Connemaras with the most points in their division and 2 dressage tests, Training level or higher.  (Qualifying classes:  1-18, 44-47, 79)

 

Regular Division:  to both the Connemara and Halfbred Connemara with the most points in their division and 2 dressage tests, Training level or higher. (Qualifying classes: 1-18, 48-52, 80)

 

Child and AA Division Champions:  to the rider/horse combination on a Connemara or Halfbred Connemara in each age group (17 & under and 18 & over) with the most points in their division and two dressage tests, Training level or higher.  (Qualifying classes:  1-18, 40-52, 77)

Riders 10 and Under Division:  to the rider/horse combination on a Connemara or Halfbred Connemara with the most points in their division and two Introductory level dressage tests.  (Qualifying classes:  A, B, 53-56, 76)

 

PERPETUAL TROPHIES

 

Consummate Connemara Trophy:  Donated by Helen & Mel King.  To be awarded to the purebred Connemara, regardless of age or sex, who, in the opinion of the judges, exemplifies the breed in the following:  TYPE – TEMPERAMENT – CONFORMATION – ATHLETIC ABILITY – MOVEMENT, in that order.  To retire the trophy, it must be won three consecutive years by the same Connemara.  (Enter any classes you wish, this is judge’s decision.)

 

Custusha’s Cashel Rock Trophy:  Donated by Cashel Meadows.  Awarded to the purebred Connemara stallion with the most points from two dressage tests, introductory level or higher, and all breed and performance classes. (Qualifying classes: 1-80)

 

Cecilia W. Noonan Memorial Trophy:  Donated by the Ervins, Merry-Go-Round Manor.  Awarded to the purebred Connemara mare with the most points from

two dressage tests, introductory level or higher, and all in-hand, fun, games and

performance classes, (open or breed restricted). (Qualifying classes: A-18, 28-37, 40-80)

 

 

Connemara Gelding Performance Trophy:  Donated by the Bradpiece Family.  Awarded to the Purebred Connemara gelding with the most points from two dressage tests, one hunter division, and the driving classes.  (Qualifying classes:  A-18, 40-52, 71-74)

 

Cricket’s Dew Flutter-By Perpetual Trophy:  Donated by Sandy Stuart.

Awarded to the purebred Connemara with the most points from two dressage tests, Training level or higher, breed classes and the Regular Hunter Division. (Qualifying classes: 1-18, 28-37, 48-52)

 

Prospect Trophy:  Donated by the Ervins, Merry-Go-Round Manor.

Awarded to the purebred or halfbred Connemara with the most points in the Prospect Division. (Qualifying classes: 78, 40-43)

 

Kerry Driving Trophy:  Donated by Bob and Pat Ashworth, Cobblestone Farm.  Awarded to the Connemara with the most points in the Driving Division (including Driven Dressage).  (Qualifying classes:  71-74)

 

Junior Rider Trophy:  Donated by Michael and Charlene O’Neil, Ballyneil Farm.  Awarded to the rider 13-17 years with the most points from two dressage tests, training level or higher, and all performance classes.  (Qualifying classes:  1-18, 40-52, 64-70, 77-80)

 

Adult Amateur Trophy:  Donated by Aeron Hynes, Dauntsey Farm, awarded to the Adult Amateur Rider with the highest point average from all ridden classes.  (Qualifying classes: A-18, 40-52, 64-70, 77-80)

 

Orchard Hills Funny Princess: Donated by Aeron Hynes, Dauntsey Farm, in memory of Orchard Hills Funny Princess.  Awarded to the Connemara or Halfbred Connemara and rider combination with the highest point average from two dressage tests, two hunter classes, a breed class, and either a driving, western, or games class.  (Qualifying classes:  A-80)

 

AnNinon Beag Dressage Trophy:   Donated by Gately Farm.

Awarded to the dressage rider 12 years and under with the highest test score from the Introductory level tests.  (Qualifying classes: A, B)

 

Louise LeBeau Trophy:  Awarded to the dressage rider 13-17 years with the highest test score from any dressage test, Training level or higher.  (Qualifying classes: 1-18)

 

Leprechaun Cup:  Donated by the Websters, Stonybrook Connemaras.

Awarded to the winner of the Purebred Yearling Futurity. (Qualifying class:  27)

 

Shamrock Cup:  Donated by the Archerds, Island Dreamer Farm.

Awarded to the winner of the Halfbred Yearling Futurity.  (Qualifying class:  22)

 

Hideaway’s Erin Tooreen Trophy:  Donated by Rick and Leslie Howell, Orchard Hills Connemaras, in memory of Hideaway’s Erin Tooreen.  Awarded to the winner of the Purebred Futurity for 2 and 3 years old. (Qualifying class:  33)

 

Gilnocky Halloween Cup:  Donated by Sue Laidlaw in memory of Gilnocky Halloween.  Awarded to the winner of the Halfbred Futurity for 2 and 3 years old.  (Qualifying class:  23)

 

Larry Ervin Memorial Trophy:  Donated by Darian and Allen Hall, Rosewood Connemaras.  Awarded to the highest placed Purebred Connemara in the highest division of the Irish Derby, must ride one dressage test at Training Level or above and either 70A or 70B.  (Qualifying Classes: 1-18, and 70A or B)
